"First, I cannot think of anything aside from God alone to whose essence of existence belongs."
I agree with Descartes on this quote. Just the other day I asked my brother if it was wrong of me to say I'm not sure taht I believe in God. He told me if there was no God why would it matter what you say? What would it mean? and to whom would it mean something? Like Descartes I cannot think of anyone or anything to associate existence with besides God. I grew up learning about God and I was baptized, received communion and confirmation. I guess I answered my own question.

If we all live different lives and we all take our own perceptions of different experiences and in the same sense we all are born with an image of something nonexistent than everyone has a different perception of God and his existence. So the more we revolve ourselves around the idea that something exists then we eventually take it for truth and no longer become skeptical, but we do so in some cases without fact.
Alot of people believe firmly in God and do not question his existence in anyway. I often wonder if it's wrong for me to question him, but isn't it human nature to do so? There is no proof. Do you ever question God?
I think everyone has once in there lives have questioned if there is actually a god. But I think you you want to believe in a God so that you know there is hope and good luck next to. That one day there is going to be a after life. If you dont believe in God there is no hope for any of those things. So thats why we choose to believe in God.
Yea, I think its inevitable to not question if God exists. That's true too; we look toward an after life.
I agree with Arjan everyone has their own opinions and different ways of looking at various things in the world. I think that if there is no GOD than there is no purpose or reason for anyone to be on this earth. Then it raises alot of questions like how did we get here and what is the purpose of living? Not to put down anyone who does not believe but im just expressing my feelings on the matter. everyone thinks something different and i think that if everyone thought the same things about everything the world would be a boring place to live with a bunch of robots walking around.
